It is essential that all trekkers are prepared both in a physical sense and on an emotional level in preparation for some of the most formidable environments one can encounter. After a full medical clearance has been granted, trekkers will be provided a program facilitated by highly qualified experts in the area of physical conditioning.
The Pre Trek Training Phase comprises an 8 week supervised training program to ensure all Trekkers are fully prepared for their individual treks. The program will consist of 2 sessions per week. These sessions include one of a cross-training nature to be conducted mid-week and one pack walk Saturday or Sunday mornings. Training locations and schedules allow for some flexibility and will be negotiated between GOI and the client to best suit both parties.
Pre Adventure Training is a fantastic opportunity to promote "Team Spirit" amongst fellow trekkers in the training phase and is critical in ensuring our clients are fully prepared for their adventure experience. GOI also prides itself on providing a training atmosphere which will challenge and surprise. Such surprises may include special guest trainers (profile athletes) which help break the training grind. The 'Build Up' phase is designed to ensure that from the moment our clients make contact with the Game On Team certain goals and objectives are clearly defined to gain maximum results from the 8 week commitment.
For trekkers who are not able to attend GOI's formal training sessions Komplete Kokoda will provide a program that will be monitored by them in order to assist you to achieve the desired outcomes.
